Thank you for doing this. 2 years later and I'm looking for exactly this. The internet age doesn't always recognise the heroes in the background that make the musical world go round with things like this. It's not necessarily rewarding for you but I sure as hell appreciate you. When I was learning 40 years ago, this kind of thing just wasn't to be found at all.

I love having this, and a whole bunch of other songs in standard 440. Not having to down tune is the motivation to learn songs note for note. And learn the entire song. It drives me insane to hear someone say they play guitar , or rather, I know a particular song. Then they only know a few bars of what's easiest for them. 95% of guitar players know 5% of a song. And 5% of guitar players know 100% of songs they play. You guys know who you are. Practice what you have trouble with. Unless you want to play medleys, the rest of your life go ahead. You will never be in a band. You won't be able to jam with a buddy. You have waisted so much time practicing what you already know. You put yourself into a lonely place. You practiced yourself into a corner, and you can't get out. But I guess if it were easy, everybody would be a great guitarist. I don't know why I just said all that. It's probably because my youngest son knows 5% of a 100 songs. And dad knows 100% those 100. To all those people who go through the trouble to post a song picked to standard 440, thank you. To show my appreciation, I'll learn the entire song, or at least fake it good enough people can't tell.

The tuning down is very important. Not only is it to match Axl’s E flat voice, it also makes all of Slash’s bending in the solo parts more playable.

is it just me that learned by ear to the original recording? i never even knew it wasnt in standard so ive been playing it a really weird way in F# major
